I love the current market condition, everyhting is so cheap. I’ve been shopping abroad in emerging markets. My position in emerging markets has increased to $2000 ( in various stock funds ). I’ve targeted primarily Africa and India. The bad news are, I’m investing my student loan in emerging markets, so I really need to see a rebound.

Not much to say since last million dollar goal update. Invested $120 in a India fund, $200 in a Africa fund. I’m going add more to emerging markets very soon, can’t resist these levels. Both Africa and India ( and pretty much all markets ) have seen a heavy drop, making it hard not to put money in.

Losing weight never gets old, especially in the U.S, where the population gets fatter at the same time as the weight-loss-industry is growing. The rise in commodities has hurt Nutrisystem, the good news are that it’s baked in to the stock price and it’s trading at a attractive multiple.

I wouldn’t the say the bull arguments are stronger than the bear arguments. Yes it has been slammed down severly, but it’s a very recession sensitive stock. I like the brand, no doubt about it. I would like to add NTRI for my million dollar goal portfolio at something like $15 and below. High insiderownership and high short % ( often a good sign ).

I will have it on my watchlist for now!

Moving out my money from Turkey after a quick buck earned. The recent run up in Turkey and run down in Africa makes me in a daily trade mood. I’m going to place the money in a Africa fund.

Sold of my Turkey fund holdings, moving it to a Africa fund!

I noted that Turkey has recovered strongly after its sharp decline past months. That’s good news for me because I’ve invested in East Capital Turkey ( swedish funds ). I see that my US holdings has performed very badly but it doesn’t really change anything, swings in stock price without news is not uncommon, not even big swings.

I don’t feel like gambling on ABK, there is a difference between financials and financials some simply won’t come back. I would bet on LYG and BAC to recover strongly when this crash is over!

To my pleasant surprise my blog traffic hasn’t died completely since I went away on vaccation. Sorry for the long wait. Now I’m back and focused on my million dollar goal again, so stay tuned I will start writing tomorrow!

I managed to make $50 bucks from an outside source. I don’t know what to do with it. I rather spend it then invest it, since it’s such a small amount. If I’m going to invest it, I’ll chose something very risky, like a Balkan fund. That’s the advantage of investing with small amounts, you suddenly fear nothing.

I don’t know what my next move will be. I’m in the red so I can’t sell anything. I would like to take a minor position in LYG and/or a foreign ETF if I had cash. I haven’t reached the $100 minimum amount in adsense to make a withdrawal. I intend to use all my adsense money on stocks/funds.

I haven’t really mentioned anything else besides my stock account. I’ve decided to include my adsense earnings also, because money is money. But I don’t know Google’s policy so I won’t post it just yet!

I don’t really know how to calculate my net worth if I add my “ad business”. Do I only include profit from ads or do I also calculate the worth of my site and add that too to my net worth?

So far it has been a bad month for my stock portfolio, both RBY and UXG is down and Istanbul Stock Exchange is on a downtrend ( I bought recently though). I have to say I’m growing more and more interested in Capital Trust. I think it has suffered a severe beating simply because it’s a financial stock and nothing else. I can’t really find anything wrong with the stock and it looks like a bargain for $25 a share. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m thinking about buying 100 shares.
