I haven’t really mentioned anything else besides my stock account. I’ve decided to include my adsense earnings also, because money is money. But I don’t know Google’s policy so I won’t post it just yet!

I don’t really know how to calculate my net worth if I add my “ad business”. Do I only include profit from ads or do I also calculate the worth of my site and add that too to my net worth?

So far it has been a bad month for my stock portfolio, both RBY and UXG is down and Istanbul Stock Exchange is on a downtrend ( I bought recently though). I have to say I’m growing more and more interested in Capital Trust. I think it has suffered a severe beating simply because it’s a financial stock and nothing else. I can’t really find anything wrong with the stock and it looks like a bargain for $25 a share. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m thinking about buying 100 shares.

I threw in $700 bucks in a turkey fund, since the ISE has been on a downtrend for a while now. If Turkey manages to get their act together and be accepted to EU my portfolio is going to feel alot better!

Apparently the gold - oil ratio isn’t important anymore, gold hasn’t followed oil in the recent surge we’ve seen. I haven’t changed my mind on uxg/rby though.

As I wrote in a comment, I will stay away from risky stocks and buy companies with already established business models, like AEPI and GASS.

AEPI <- 52-week low, dropped since I mentioned it. Current price: $22.18.

52-week range: 21.77 - 48.66

GASS <- dropped slightly since I mentioned it, looking attractive. From a pure technical view this one will head up sooner than AEPI. It should be around $16-17 next week. ( current price: $15.40).

$600 cash rest in seks. I think my nerves can take a tiny gamble with $600.

I want to play it risky. I got my eyes on Trubion Pharmaceuticals Inc, TRBN. The stock is trading around its 52-week low ( $5.xx ) all the way down from $21.51!

I don’t like risky biotech stocks, since you can’t really reasearch them. It goes very well, they either get a approval/contract or it goes down the toilet. I like the heavy insider ownership and the huge amount of shares short. That’s enough for me to take a tiny position just to see what happens. I was thinking about investing something around $500 ( yes, I know ) in TRBN.

Half bad week, UXG down and RBY slightly down. No changes in positions whatsoever. I’m waiting to accumulate shares in GASS, I want to add it below $16 a share. The major factor that caused me to favorize GASS over other shippers, was the fact that Vafias owns a huge stake. I tend to like heavily insider owned companies!

PAL <- is growing on me, I might add it if slips below $5.00, I suspect commodities will fall a bit under the summer!

Net worth of my stock account barely changed today. I still haven’t thought out what to do when I buy some $US. I really don’t feel like investing in a non-commodity company since the dollar will probably become weaker.

Silver looks good to me, maybe my favourite commodity. But I don’t feel like buying silver etf, SLV. I want a company, especially a junior silver mine. Luckily I found one: EXK. It’s only on my watch list, I’m not going to do anything about it just yet.

My ethical investing style played out well. As you might recall I sold off my vgr shares because of my ethical stance. I can’t have money in a tobacco company. Anyays, it turned out well financially, I sold VGR and bought UXG. VGR went around $1 buck lower from $18 and UXG is nicely up from $2.10, it’s currently at $2.50!

A large cap bank is becoming more and more like eye candy. Lloyds TSB, I never invest in non small caps unless it’s REALLY CHEAP. LYG is getting very hard to resist at current levels with that fat dividend. Share price: $30.73 div: 12.53%

Yes 12.53%!

I stated in an earlier post that I like LYG, and I like it even more now.

What can I say, when I first sold my shares and moved to $ USD. The first thing that scared me was the falling dollar so I quickly bought junior miners. The dollar has weakened and UXG & RBY has risen. Especially UXG, for which I have an average price of $2.10 and currently standing at $2.38.

I’m going to buy more $ in the near future, and it feels like I need more hedging. Something that profits from rising commodity prices.

OYO Geospace Corp. - came to my mind. I will not enter at current price, that stock could go any direction at this moment. If it hits below $50 a share I will buy.
